A devotional resource for children & families

Run to Jesus

Gentle devotionals to help little hearts draw near to God — one moment at a time.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

When life feels big, run to Jesus.

Children feel things deeply. Big emotions, big questions, big worries — and sometimes, they just need to know where to go.

Run to Jesus is a devotional space from Little Lights Bible Company designed to help children and families pause, breathe, and bring whatever they're carrying straight to God.

Whether it's a hard day, a hopeful morning, or a quiet bedtime moment — Jesus is always ready to listen.

PAUSE · PRAY · TRUST

When a big feeling shows up, remember these three simple steps:

PAUSE

What am I feeling?

PRAY

Tell Jesus how you feel.

TRUST

Trust God with what happens next.

"You don't have to know what happens next to trust the One who does."

Devotionals for Little Hearts

Read together, pray together, grow together.

When You Feel Worried

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." — Philippians 4:6

Worry can feel like a storm cloud that won't go away. But God doesn't want us to carry our worries alone. He invites us to bring every single one to Him — even the small ones. Next time worry creeps in, try this: take a deep breath, close your eyes, and tell God exactly what's on your heart. He's listening.

Think about it:

What is one worry you can give to God today?

When You Feel Left Out

"I will never leave you nor forsake you." — Hebrews 13:5

Feeling left out hurts. Maybe you weren't invited, or maybe you felt invisible. But here's something wonderful to remember: Jesus always sees you. He knows your name, He knows your heart, and He will never, ever leave you out.

Think about it:

Can you think of a time Jesus showed you He was with you?

When You Made a Mistake

"Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand." — Psalm 37:24 (NIV)

Everyone makes mistakes—even grown-ups! Making a mistake doesn't mean you're a failure, and it doesn't change how much God loves you. When something goes wrong, you can tell God about it, ask for help, and try again. Sometimes we need to say we're sorry or make something right. Other times, we simply need to learn from what happened and keep going. Run to Jesus—He will help you take the next step.

Think about it:

What is one mistake you can learn from and try again?

When You Feel Thankful

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." — Psalm 107:1

Thankfulness is like sunshine for your heart. When we stop and notice all the good things God has given us — a warm bed, a kind friend, a beautiful sky — our hearts fill up with joy. Gratitude is a gift we give back to God.

Think about it:

Name three things you are thankful for right now.
